Alison Lovegrove
Alison Lovegrove jointly lead the grain quality group at Rothamsted Research and she is section head for Cereal Improvement. Her main focus of research is in the area of wheat quality, exploiting cereal grains for improved human health and processing, particularly the content, composition and biosynthesis of dietary fibre. Alison is involved in a number of projects related to the role of staple foods in human health through a UK cross-institute programme called ‘Designing Future Wheat’ and via various collaborative projects with colleagues in the UK and Europe and the Philippines aimed at enhancing the nutritional quality of wheat and rice.
