Wannes De Man
Wannes de Man is a PhD researcher at the Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Biochemistry at KU Leuven. His PhD research focuses on the in depth structural characterization of the predominant dietary fiber in wheat flour by addressing advanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technologies. Wannes graduated in 2017 with a Master of Science in Bioscience Engineering at KU Leuven. During his education, Wannes combined a master in agricultural sciences study program with several courses in the domain of food chemistry and technology. Here, his interest was triggered in bridging agricultural and food sciences as a useful strategy for gaining innovative insights for tackling challenges in the global food security.
